  • I just want to say Thank you to David, Lea Ellen and the boys for helping to make a difficult time easier. You mourned with us and you laughed with us. You made sure my Grandmother looked beautiful and everything was perfect for her funeral. You were always close by to make sure that we did not need anything... You gave me encouragement to speak at the funeral. Everyone is sweet and treat you just like family. Through this experience I know that I have found life time friends. Thank you again for everything. You and your family are amazing!!

  • I can't thank you enough for how you treated our family after Dad went home to be with the Lord. You were so attentive to the details both big and small and helped walk us through everything. Whether it was tracking down Dad's discharge papers from the military or suggesting putting out Twinkies for people coming to the visitation, you went above and beyond what we expected. I know you never met Dad, but it felt like you knew him and we felt like a part of your family. It is wonderful that God has put people like you here to help make difficult times like this just a bit easier. Thank you for helping us honor the memory of our Dad until God calls us home to see him again.

  • just want to thank David & Lea Ellen & their sons for the amazing service they provided for our son. They are not just in the business of burying people, but they truly strive to serve the grieving loved ones left behind. I want everyone to know that David & Lea Ellen are amazing Christians with a heart to serve people when they are the most broken and vulnerable. Their services went far beyond a funeral. They truly showed us love and compassion. They are a true example of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. I can't thank them enough for all their love and support.

  • My name is Lois Leffew Adrio. When my Sister Freda Leffew went to be with her Heavenly family. I automatically called Wilder's.(It is pretty sad when you can repeat a funeral's home number off the top of your head) . As many of you know, I have had many deaths in our family. I have been to many funerals in my life time, and knew what to expect from the funeral director. I had only met David and his Son once, since they took over from Mary Ann and Mike. And that was at Evelyn Gibson's grave side service who died on Feb 10 and was laid to rest Feb 13, of this year. I knew then he was very professional. David, his wife and son took me under their wings and help me make Freda's Homecoming the sweetest thing that I had to get together. I only mentioned a few things about Freda and to my surprise they added the butterflies and Coffee cups and other things that I wasn't expecting to the service. They worked with me on the arrangement to stay within a budget that I thought I could afford, but would be beautiful for Freda. They made sure that her hair and nails and accessories was to my liking before the visitation. Everything that David and his family did was up to the highest standards that anyone would expect. If you are ever in need of a Funeral Home. I encourage you to Call David Walden and his family at Wilder's Funeral Home and let them have the opportunity to serve you, or stop in and discuss your arrangement before you are faced with a unexpected death. I will never be able to repay them for helping me with Freda's homecoming. That was done with dignity and respect.

    Vera H.,

  • I am pondering this morning. Not a word used often, but for me at this moment it fits as I am "thinking about something carefully". I feel whole heartedly that for a funeral home, in today's world, to be successful it must be so much more for a community than it has ever been in the past. A funeral home is not just about a "name". It is not just about a "person" or "people". A funeral home is no longer a place to go just to mourn. A funeral home, is very personal, it is a place to go to celebrate a life lived, a place to go to honor a loved one or friend, a place of support, reflection and remembrance. We get to know families and make a connection that cannot be made in any other way. At Wilder Funeral Home, we are here to serve others. Serve Others. Let me say it one more time, Serve Others!! We take it very seriously that our "work" comes only when others are beginning the worst journey of there lives. Lea Ellen, Kyle, and myself all feel led by God to serve others in this specific place and to guide you through that journey. God called us here, God opened the door here, and it is God that leads and directs us, through His love, to share that love with the families of our community and surrounding communities. When it comes right down to it, our work is not work at all but opportunities to serve others with the care, compassion, and love that God has placed in our hearts. When the time comes, we will be here for you. We are thankful for the trust of the families we have served thus far. God has blessed us all with special gifts. We will use our gifts to serve all for His glory and the benefit of others. Please stop in anytime for a visit, get to know us. Participate in the activities we share for the community. We are here for you.
