Obituary for Welby Newton, Jr.
Welby Newton, Jr., 72, passed away Friday, February 10, 2021. He was born in Marion County, Kentucky on October 27, 1948 and was the husband of the late Mattie Marie Newton who passed away in 2015.
Mr. Newton enjoyed being outdoors especially liked fishing, mowing and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Newton Hill (Michael), Samantha Newton, two grandchildren, Kansas and Isaac Hill, and four siblings, Roy Newton, Paul Brown, Anna Mason, and Faye Tungate.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Reardon and Gerry Ann Hafley.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m.
