Obituary for Tommy Lee Dishon

Tommy Lee Dishon, 62, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was the husband of Debbie Lyons Dishon for 44 years. He was born in Stanford, Kentucky on August 25, 1957, a son of the late Elmer and Vera Humphrey Dishon.
Tommy was a 30+ year employee of Bright’s Bottled Gas in Burgin and more recently worked in maintenance for the Danville Housing Authority. Tommy greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing and UK basketball and football. He could be found most evenings hanging out with his friends in “Tom’s Garage”
Survivors in addition to his loving wife, Debbie are two sons, Brad Dishon, Dustin (Amber) Dishon, two grandchildren, Gavin and Charlotte Dishon, siblings, Wanda (Paul) Chambers, Linda (Melvin) Rogers, John (Kathy) Dishon and Paul Lewis Dishon.
Including his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a brother David Dishon.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with David Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Monday July 20, 2020 at Walden Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Thrasher, Ronnie Lyons, Ronnie Bates, Mike Adams, John Bright, and Paul Chambers.
Honorary bearers will be Tommy’s sons, Brad and Dustin Dishon and Employees of Bright’s Bottled Gas in Burgin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
In compliance with the Sate of Kentucky and the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association regarding Covid-19, all people entering the funeral home for visitation or the funeral, waiting in line outside the funeral home, or at the cemetery shelter for the committal service, are required to wear a mask.
