Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Jones, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was the husband of 52 years to Karen Vanatti Jones, whom he dearly loved. Ronnie was born June 15, 1945 in Madison, Indiana to the late Robert and Mildred Vaughn Jones.
Ronnie was a member of Perryville Christian Church and was a retired construction contractor. He loved being with his grandchildren and having family cookouts. He enjoyed fishing and going to the shooting range. His granddaughter said he made the very best banana ice cream.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Karen are four children, Lori Ann Jones, Rhonda (Todd) McWhorter, Ronald Lee (Lourdes) Jones, Jr., Anthony Jones, five grandchildren, Hannah (Branden Gaskin) McWhorter, Maddie McWhorter, Charles Jackson Jones, Ariella Grace Jones, Camila Jade Jones, and four sisters, Alice Miller, Virginia Chapman, Mary Ann Aldridge, and Jean Paul Burkhart.
He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Donald, Bobby, Harold Paul, James Jones, Helen Hamlin, and Linda Jones.
Cremation was chosen by the family and there are no services scheduled at this time. Walden Funeral Home Perryville is conducting arrangements.
