Peggy Beeler Cornett, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Peggy was born September 3, 1948 in Boyle County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James Henry and Loggie Frances Wilkerson Beeler. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lester Cornett.
Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed serving and helping others and was very active in her church. Peggy completed a 2-year missionary trip to Texas and Louisiana where she ministered to others. Most of all, Peggy enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lester Cornett, Peggy is survived by a daughter, Leslie (Nick) Day, Step-Daughter, Patricia (James) Bradshaw and four Step-Sons, Mark (Chris) Cornett, Adam Cornett, John (Laura) Cornett, and Paul (Jill) Cornett and by a niece and nephew, Janice Bottom and Richard Matherly. She is preceded in death by a sister, Frances Louise Ferrell.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Services will then follow starting at 1 p.m., and then procession will follow to Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Services are under the direction of Walden Funeral Home Perryville.
