Obituary for Oscar "Sparky" Sparkman
Oscar “Sparky” Sparkman, 71, passed away Monday November 25, 2019. He was born in Lancaster, Kentucky on April 4, 1948 to the late Chester and Rosie Sparkman and was the husband of Lisa Marie Sparkman for 46 years.
Sparky served his Country in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. He worked as a paint technician and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, Sparky is survived by two children, Darien Specis (Reece) and Jason Sparkman (Jessica), four grandchildren, Megen Litzenberger, Haley Lyman, Zac Sparkman, Brayden Sparkman, two siblings, Alonzo Sparkman, Cathy Wainwright, and his service dog, Sampson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 siblings.
No services are scheduled at this time however, a graveside service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to an Animal Rescue of the donor’s choice.
Services are under the direction of Walden Funeral Home, Perryville.
