Obituary for Matthew Scott Russell
Matthew Scott Russell, 36, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021. Matt was born in Danville, Kentucky on December 11, 1984, a son of Wilma Lee Denson Adams and the late Ronald Victor Russell.
Matt was an avid reader and especially liked reading Stephen King and Tom Clancy novels. He enjoyed both University of Kentucky basketball and football and spending time with his family.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Wilma Adams, are a son, William Ronald Matthew “Little Ronnie” Russell, brother, Travis (Rachel Meeks) Russell, 2 nieces, Savannah, Marlina Russell, and a nephew Ryan Russell.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Mark Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Walden Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kenny and Derek Sussman, Chris Royalty, Zack Gross, Travis Russell and Dillon Baudendistel.
