Obituary for Mary Edith Broyles (Bryant)

Mary Edith Bryant Broyles, 80, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021. She was the widow of James Willis Broyles, Sr. who died in 2004 and was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Anna Laura Holman Bryant. Mary was born in Lancaster, Kentucky on November 18, 1940 and was a gifted seamstress her entire life.
Mary was a faithful member of Mitchellsburg Church of God and always enjoyed attending church. She enjoyed fishing and of course, sewing.
Survivors are three children, Larry W. Broyles (Lori Lee), Donna S. Pendergraft (Lanny), Jim Broyles, Jr. (Kelley), five grandchildren, Travis Scott Caroll, Andrew Chase Broyles, Cory James Broyles, Nicholas Shelton Broyles, Anna Carie Broyles, six great grandchildren, Matthew Storm Caroll, James Caden Broyles, Alexis and Chloe Hall, Kinzleigh Broyles and Little Gracie. Also surviving are six siblings, Jimmy, Lloyd, Danny Bryant, Ronnie Lee, Barbara Howell and Brenda Dvorak.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two siblings, Edwin “Shot” Bryant and Rita Clarkston.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mitchellsburg Church of God with Bros. Ronnie Lee, Jr. Fields and Jeff Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Pallbearers will be Mary’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Lanny Pendergraft and David Gourley.
