Obituary for Marvin Hope Harberson
Marvin Hope Harberson, 81, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022. Marvin was born July 27, 1940 to the late Clyde Karrick and Edna Gibson Harberson.
Marvin was often seen walking around Perryville. He loved the town in which he lived his entire life. He had a very generous and caring heart and was always the first to donate for someone in need or for a cause in the community. Marvin was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church and enjoyed the church fellowships. Marvin worked many jobs in his lifetime including working for the Boyle County Road Department.
Marvin is survived by a brother, Chester Harberson and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a host of community members in which he would regularly visit with at church, the Post Office, Mr. Misers and the funeral home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Matherly and a brother, Gene Harberson.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2022 at Walden Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Lester officiating burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2022 starting at 11:00 a.m., also at Walden Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Sapp, Wes Winchell, Mimi Iverson, Jerry Gibson, Taylor Bottom and David Walden.
Honorary bearers are Kellye Milburn, Rosanne Brown, and Chrissy Sapp.
