Obituary for Martha Allene Lee (Johnson)
Martha Allene Johnson Lee, 74, passed away Thursday July 29, 2021. She was born December 21, 1946 in Garrard County, Kentucky one of twelve children of the late Elmer Lee and Jenny Pearl Poynter Johnson. She is survived by her husband James Alvin Lee, Sr with whom she was married 56 years.
Martha enjoyed cooking and canning and making jams and jellies. She was known for her dried apple fried pies and cherished her family.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by three children, Jimmy Lee, Shelia (Tony) Pike, Anthony (Micki) Lee, twelve grandchildren, Courtney Justice, Amanda, Heather, Myranda, Brianna, and Alli Lee, Ariel Hardesty, Kayla Williams, Dustin Pike, Ryan, Cody, and Brandi Lee, ten great-grandchildren, and seven siblings.
Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amber Lee, two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday August 3, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Bros. JR Fields and Ronnie Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home.
