Obituary for Mark Alcorn Jr.

Mark Allen Alcorn, Jr., 35, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was born in Danville, Kentucky November 19, 1985, a son of Charlotte “Dale” Bottoms and Mark Allen Alcorn, Sr.
Mark was employed by Hitachi in Harrodsburg and loved spending time with his two sons, Mark and Nathaniel. He enjoyed aviation and flew radio-controlled airplanes with the Bluegrass Flyers Club. He was an outdoorsman who like fishing, hiking and camping, which also allowed him to pursue his hobby of photography. Mark also enjoyed playing the drums.
Survivors are Mark’s two sons, Mark David and Nathaniel Dwight Alcorn, his fiancé, Mary Rash, mother, Charlotte “Dale” Bottoms, father, Mark Allen Alcorn, Sr, sister, Candi (Dan) Kuebler, brother, Justin (Missy) Lynn, 2 nieces, 5 nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Bro. Monty Carney officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Washington County. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 and after 10:00 a. m., until the time of the service on Wednesday at Walden Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Clint McCrystal, Isaah Land, Nick Alsman, Jake Brumfield, Mark Elliott, John Gill, Billy Lewis, Carl Smith, Michael and Caleb Bottoms.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bluegrass Flyersand Mike Borger.
