Obituary for Leona Riley (Westerfield)
Leona Westerfield Riley, 92, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019. She was the widow of Fritz Riley. Leona was born October 25, 1926 in Danville to the late Harry and Edith Craig Westerfield.
Leona was a member of Doctor’s Fork Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, she was a bookkeeper, enjoyed being a part of the Homemakers and loved going fishing. She also worked part-time at Tobacco Warehouse.
Survivors are three sons, Dannie (Debbie) Wallace, Ronnie and Jimmie Wallace, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, two sisters, Crystal Whitehouse and Eva Jean Blackford.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Alma June Blevins, Daisey Moddrelle, Johnny and Donald Sherman Westerfield.
The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., (noon) Saturday August 17, 2019 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Pastor John David Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
