Obituary for Kathryn "Kat" McCarty
Kathryn “Kat” McCarty, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Nora Webb McCarty.
Kat was born April 20, 1925 in Perryville and enjoyed growing up on the family farm. She attended Perryville Christian Church, enjoyed gardening, canning, and attending the yearly Camp Meetings.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Carey, sisters, Betty (Elmer) Burns, Jean (Donnie) Montgomery, Elizabeth Donnelly, Frances Devers, Mae Lasley and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kat was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Reardon and a brother Cecil L. McCarty.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until the time of service.
