Gladys Lucille Turpin, 87, passed away Wednesday July 25, 2018. She was born in Boyle County, Kentucky October 8, 1930 to the late Riley and Priscilla Lake Preston and was the widow of the late Edward A. Turpin.Gladys was a member of the Perryville Church of God. She enjoyed housekeeping and watching Soap Operas. She loved caring for her children and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.Survivors are five children, Brenda K. Jones, Scotty (Christy) Turpin, Deron (Cindy) Turpin, Regina Turpin and a grandson raised as her son, Nathan S. Bottoms. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Lana and Barbara Turpin. Gladys was the caregiver of Estel Turpin.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bro. Buddy and Jimmy Turpin, son-in-law David Jones, five brothers and two sisters.A graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday July 30, 2018 at Parksville Cemetery with Pastor Paul Stratton and Pastor Tucker Huntsinger officiating. Walden Funeral Home Perryville in entrusted with arrangements.Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace and Faith Church in Junction City, Kentucky.
