Obituary for Douglas Kenneth "Doug" Hooks
Douglas Kenneth “Doug” Hooks, 63, passed away Monday March 14, 2022. He was born December 31, 1958 in Lyon County, Kentucky a son of the late Luther Donald and Ruby Rose Pierce Hooks.
Doug retired from North Point Training Center as a Correctional Officer and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed being outdoors, eating, playing the guitar, watching sports, especially UK Basketball and fishing.
Survivors are his daughter, Christy Hooks and her fiancé Chad Rucker, step-mother, Ann Lankford Hooks, two sisters, Karen Hooks, Donna (Bob) Cox, two brothers, Danny (Lisa) Hooks, Dewey Hooks and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by a brother Timothy Hooks.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday March 24, 2022 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville. Inurnment will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with Military Honors. Visitation will be at Walden Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m., until 12:30 p.m., Thursday March 24, 2022.
