Obituary for Dorothy Jean Wallace (Russell)
Dorothy Jean Russell Wallace, 92, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. She was born January 22, 1929 in Springfield, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles, Sr. and Katie Carpenter Russell. She was the widow of Clay Wallace who passed away in 1999.
Dorothy was a retired elementary school teacher and loved gardening and canning. She was an active member of Landmark Baptist Church in Louisville and was a graduate of Mackville High School and Campbellsville College. She dearly loved the children she taught in school.
Surviving Dorothy are a sister, Violet Warner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nine siblings.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Lynn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Washington County. Visitation will be at Walden Funeral Home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 noon.
