Luther Donald Hooks, 85, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born January 15, 1934 in Lyon County, Kentucky to the late Rev. Luther Bunyan and Lola Valley Hooks and was the husband of 47 years to Ann Lankford Hooks.
Don retired from Western Kentucky Gas and was a member of New Beginnings Community Church.
In addition to his wife, Ann, Don is survived by two daughters, Karen Hooks, Donna (Bob) Cox, three sons, Douglas Hooks, Danny (Lisa) Hooks, Dewey Hooks, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Hooks, two brothers, and five sisters.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Bro. Stacy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dewey, Danny, Doug Hooks, Bob Cox, Bobby Patton, Cody Hooks, Sharon Rose Patton, Shelley Hooks, Christy Hooks, Brian Mattingly, Larry Bishop and Bro. Stacy Wilson.
