Obituary for Daniel Wayne Claunch
Daniel “Danny” Wayne Claunch, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Danny was born August 16, 1947 in Danville, Kentucky one of three sons of Daphna Elswick Claunch and the late Paul Claunch. Danny was married for 49 years to the late Nellie Claunch who passed away in 2019.
Danny was a Mechanical Engineer for FKI Logistics and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed target shooting, camping, playing poker and especially fishing.
In addition to his mother, Daphna Claunch, survivors are a son Daniel “Keith” Claunch (Kristi). Four grandchildren, Morgan Baker, Chelsea Teachey, Delaney Claunch, Mason Teachey. Two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Riley Baker and a brother, Stanley Claunch (Terri)
Pallbearers are Manual and Stuart Conder, Danny Hargis, Donnie Yeager, and Marc and Jay Claunch.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at Walden Funeral Home.
