Chester William Shirrell, Jr., 75, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana a son of the late Chester William and Katherine Roller Shirrell, Sr.
Chester was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a Member of Mitchellsburg Church of God. He was retired from the Kentucky School of the Deaf after working 25 years in Maintenance. He loved spending time with his children and family and hanging out with his dog, Winston.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Morgan, Kimberly Hodges, Tina Leber, two sons, Bobby Gastineau, Mark Gastineau, 14 grandchildren, Luke West, Michaela West, Stephen Gastineau, Serena Gastineau, Sarah Brown, Cameron Gastineau, Bode Gastineau, Jonathon Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Melinda Hodges, Michael Hodges, Grace Hodges, William Shirrell, Jesse Shirrell, great-grandson, Nathaniel Coffman, five other great-grandchildren and a special friend, Peggy Lay.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by a son, Robert Shirrell, a grandson, Carson Layne Gastineau, and three siblings.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Pastor Greg Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bode Gastineau, Luke West, Stephen Gastineau, Josh Morgan, Jesse Morgan and Jackie Lamb.
