Charles Edward “Moose” Young, 75, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020. Charles was born in Lebanon on May 26, 1944, a son of the late Joe and Dorothy O’Daniel Young. He resided in Perryville for the remainder of his life. Charles was a son, brother, father, uncle, and friend to many and always put his family first.

He was a faithful Christian who exhibited Christ’s love and care to everyone he met. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Charles loved UK Sports, BCHS Softball, and Nascar. Charles also loved riding his Harley Motorcycle and helping others.

He is survived by his Wife of 58 years, Verna Mae Bottoms Young, and his children, Vickie Lynn Cox (James) and Charles Anthony Young. He was a brother to Joe Roy Young, William Thomas Young (Dora), and Howard Richard Young. He had five grandchildren; Ashley Raider (Jason), Brittany Broach (Chase), DeAndre Cox (Michelle), Casey Cox, and Devon Cox (Brittany). He also has 5 Great Grandchildren; Myles Carroll, Tristan Love, Anzly Carroll, Shaelyn Cox, Lynnie Cox, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to go to the BCHS Football program.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 regulations services are private, However, there will be a drive-by visitation at the Showroom from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday May 20, 2020.
